VINTAGE ORIGINAL FIRST LUNAR LANDING OF MANKIND 1969 APOLLO 11 NASA SPACE PATCH - IN - MINT - CONDITION

This patch commemorating the first lunar landing of mankind was likely produced by AB Emblem. The design shows the year but not the date, and also excludes any mention of the mission, making it valid even if the Apollo 11 mission failed to land but Apollo 12 succeeded. This strongly implies that the design was produced in the first half of 1969 before the Apollo 11 mission flew.
Later remakes of the patch show the date in white text under the year, but the earlier versions usually have red text under the year which reads "© 1969" followed by two initials that I am unable to distinguish clearly, but possibly "NP". Like the 'green moon' Apollo 11 mission patch this design was used in small commemorative embroidered Needle Painters Guild presentations.
