A REAL FIND!
Apollo 15 Index of Mapping Camera and Panoramic Camera Photographs
- NASA, Jan. 1972. It has 218 pages with some diagrams. This index contains descriptions of all photographs taken from the Apollo 15 Panoramic Camera and the Mapping (or Metric) Camera, the 2 systems in the SIM Bay of the Service Module. Condition is Used but in excellent shape; rear cover shows 2 small rust stains(?) as if it was stacked on top of another volume. The name "Cooper/ FC 9" is written green ink in the upper right corner of the front cover. The phrase "15 Mapping and Pan Index" is written along the spine/left edge. It is bound by 2 staples along the left side and is 3-hole punched.
This manual belonged to John H. Cooper who worked at NASA Houston until Jan. 1973, primarily as a geology-specialist flight controller. He was also involved in the development of the Lunar Rover Vehicle. Please see my other space-related auctions for other rare NASA manuals and materials.
