    Description

SpaceX, an innovative company if ever there was one, wanted to build an interplanetary spacecraft; they came up with the Starship, formerly known as the BFR (Big Falcon Rocket, or something like that). Not wanting to depend on the Russians or anyone else for engines, they also developed what may be the most interesting liquid-fuel rocket engine design in 50 years - the Raptor. This engine is the first
Full-flow staged combustion cycle rocket engine ever to actually fly! (Look it up on Wikipedia for more info.) The design is more efficient than other engines in it's class. It stands about 10 feet tall and has a sea-level thrust of
380,000 pounds, eventually to be refined to around 600,000 pounds.
The engine is designed to operate on methane and liquid oxygen, because Elon Musk wants to someday land this thing on Mars, and methane can be theoretically manufactured from the Mars atmosphere for refueling.
Scale is 1/20. About 6" tall on it's stand. Fully assembled as shown.
Made of silver colored 3D printed plastic, it will have visible layer lines. Includes stand and laser-etched label, as shown. Soda can for size comparison; not included.
