Redrock Micro Microremote Wireless Follow Focus Bundle.
This is a classic wireless follow focus system from Red Rock Micro. The moment you handle any item in this kit you will understand why Red Rock Micro is still one of the leaders in professional gear. Every piece is built like a tank. There is some wear on each component but nothing that affects its operation. Shown here is the hand unit for a true wireless focus pulling experience as well as the basestation which provides power and information to the focus motor. If you would rather run a wired connection you can do that as well with the clamp on finger wheel. This makes it perfect for solo camera operators who have to pull their own focus. All the correct cables are provided, each with their respective labels so you know exactly where to plug them into. Essentially the setup is mount your motor, plug in the power/data cable from the motor to the basestation, mount the basestation, plug in the power cable for the basestation. From here you can choose if you want a wired or wireless setup. If you want wireless then you would plug in one antenna to the basestation and the other to the hand unit (put batteries in the hand unit) making sure both the basestation and hand unit are on the same channel and there you go you're all set. If you need to pull your own focus such as on a gimbal all you have to do is remove the antenna from the basestation, mount your finger wheel and plug in the provided cable from the basestation to the finger wheel and you're ready to rock. For this price you would be hard set to find another follow focus system with the same versatilty and build quality as this one. This has been a rock solid investment for me but alas, I have moved on to more autofocus capable cameras rarely finding the need to pull focus manually. Thank you and have a wonderful day!
