RARE French antique 1920s jointed felt, EUGENIE POIR, 17" JOSE boy doll ALL orig

Description

Here is a darling, antique circa 1920s, 17" tall, fully jointed, pressed felt, "sweater boy" style doll,
named: JOSE,
produced in Paris, France by EUGENIE POIR as
described and featured in "Antique Doll Collector" magazine, March 2020 issue
and "Cloth Dolls-Judd.  This French firm competed at that time with the more famous LENCI doll factory. He has a cotton twill torso with well shaped and jointed, felt curved arms (individually stitched fingers with separate thumbs) and legs with shaped knees, a
swivel neck
and flat feet to stand. He has beautiful, big brown, left side-glancing, painted eyes with lots of detail including shadow, eyebrows, pronounced chin and cheek blush as well as his original fur skin wig (which shows some wear). And he wears his charming original, tan felt shorts, white organdy shirt with pointed collar, red and green knit sweater, red knit socks and black leatherette shoes with ties exactly as featured in the latest color magazine article (shown in our last photos). He's in very good overall condition with no tears or holes, (tiny hole in shorts) no repairs or repaint, no stains and no odors as he is from a smoke free home, hair is thinning & shirt shows age.
