We are delighted to offer for your consideration this, 13" long, antique cloth with hard celluloid head, "PROSPERITY BABY" doll, "Pupo", by manufacturer: Lenci, Turin Italy, circa 1933. She is pictured on page 145,
"Lenci-The History & the Dolls"
-Lazenby. She has beautiful, big brown glass,
sleep eyes with sable hair lashes,
(one eye's lashes stick inside) sweet little nose,
closed mouth
, blushed cheeks and molded and painted short baby style hair. Her head and arms are constructed of hard celluloid and her darling, jointed baby body is hard stuffed, pink cloth with chubby shaped knees and hands with
third and fourth fingers molded together!
Her knees, toes and hands still have their pink blush. She also has her
working cry box
(makes sound when shaken) in her tummy. She wears her
original, one-piece undies with scalloped pink felt trim beneath a darling, rose printed flannel, baby dress, original, scalloped pink felt booties
and a replaced hair band. She's in very good overall condition with expected paint crazing, one side seam on her head is slightly open and she has a little dust on her body and booties. There are no holes, cracks, chips, damages or repairs and no odors as she is from a smoke free home. Steiff kitten, bunny rabbit and other dolls are
not included
.
