This is a Qantas original Trans-Tasman V-Jet certificate dated 29th May, 1965 confirming the passenger was on the flight from Sydney, Australia to Christchurch, New Zealand. (the sea between Australia and New Zealand is known as the Tasman Sea.)
It must have been posted out to the customer after the flight as it came with a Qantas envelope, posted from Australia, which is included in the listing.
Both the certificate and envelope have been rolled up in a tube for years, but both are in good condition.
The certificate measures 23cm x 30cm, (9" inches x 12" inches) and has a few creases and a small stain by the driver of the coast of Australia. A nice touch is the high quality paper used, and some parts of the surface, like the Qantas logo are slightly raised on the surface.
The envelope is 25cm x 31.5cm, (9.75" inches x 12.5" inches) and is a little battered as shown, but is import as it is an official Qantas item from the time.
The items will not be posted in the tube, but flat between some nice strong cardboard.
