PRE 1964 RICHMONT Products Torque Wrench with affixedCalibration label of NASA MARSHALL SPACE FLIGHT CENTER (MSFC) in Huntsville, Alabama
According to MSFC calibration label, based on Form 611 (Rev Feb 1967), torque wrench was last checked for calibration 04-03
MSFC Tag Q-267-JY is hand etched on wrench's brass turn handle and also confirmed on calibration label
NASA's MSFC, dedicated in 1960 by President Eisenhower, was considered NASA's lead center for the development of rocket propulsion systems and technologies. During the 1960s, the activities were largely devoted to the Apollo Program, with the Saturn family of launch vehicles designed and tested at MSFC.
Richmont Products of Cleco Division of Reed Roller Bit Company of Houston, Texas existed as independent brand until 1964 merger with Sturtevant. The wrench is not labeled with Sturtevant, so presumed to be manufactured before 1964.
