    While The New Yorker is known for its writing and cartoons, the
    diversity of its covers is perhaps the most collectible part of the magazine.  This is an original cover from December 30, 1972 based on an illustration by the American artist and cartoonist Charles Martin (1910-1995).  It references the Apollo Lunar Landings in a New Years theme.
    Cover is in excellent condition, and is provided with a certificate with additional information and a brief history of New Yorker cover art.

    The memorabilia we offer in our store was collected while I was a teenager and wrapped
    up in the enthusiasm of those early years of the space program.

    collected as part of the research I was doing for projects in local science fairs.
