Description
This recent find comes from Estate of Retired NASA MSFC AEROSPACE Engineer that was part of ABMA and NASA working with Wernher von Braun on the pioneering Rocket Team. Mr. Thomson was ultimately responsible for the development of the H1, J2 and F1 Rocket Engines and eventually put in charge of the Shuttle and later worked on the Shuttle's SSME starting in 1968 designing its Engines. Listing is for one 1958 binder notebook full of personal notes from meetings/discussions relating to the development, research and testing of the X1/E1/F1/H1 Engines and includes drawings as well as details of ABMA, General Electric, Rocketdyne and Bell Aircraft.Binder/Notebook (4-3/4"W x 7-1/4"L) is in Excellent Overall condition for use, age and storage with some expected wear with photos being paperclipped together and having markings from paperclip. 2 full size paper memos from 1958 Attendees in meetings on Juno Propulsion and Precision Loader/Lox Liquid Regulator (shown in picture 1) were folded (and will be shipped folded) and stored inside back pocket of notebook. Mr. Thomson put his name and details in ink on the inside cover. Badge shown in picture 12 is NOT included in listing, but shown only for reference purposes. Please see all pictures.
