NEIL ARMSTRONG. “Man in Flight” Shell Oil 1970 aluminum token honoring Leonardo da Vinci and his inventions for flight, personally owned by Neil Armstrong. These tokens were issued by the Shell Oil Company shortly after the Apollo 11 moon landing to promote their company and the Apollo program.

The dodecagonal token diameter measures 1”, in fine condition with a grade of MS 63, encapsulated in a Collectibles Authentication Guaranty holder with the header from “The Armstrong Family Collection” (Certification Number: 1000809-002), and accompanied with a signed letter of authenticity from Armstrong’s two sons, Rick and Mark, acknowledging the token came from the Armstrong family collection.
ENCAPSULATED IN A CAG HOLDER WITH THE HEADER FROM “THE ARMSTRONG FAMILY COLLECTION” AND ACCOMPANIED WITH A SIGNED LETTER OF AUTHENTICITY FROM ARMSTRONG’S SONS
