Tubes are soft. Old, vintage, so may have signs of age. We have thousands of tubes, so WE DO NOT TEST THEM ALL.
We spot-test about 1 out of every 5. We throw away any tubes that have obviously hardened. While we make an effort to only send good paints, it is possible some bad ones may slip through. Some may be less viscous than they were 15 years ago.  Tips may require cleaning, may need to be unclogged. Some paints may separate and require shaking, mixing or massaging to restore them to ideal working condition. Others just may be too far gone. Again, we weeded out as many bad ones as we noticed.
