Description :
This beautiful  decorative  plate was made in Italy in famous Capodimonte Style.
Plate has a circular shape , 12  inches in diameter  , and nicely  hand painted decorated with 3D Relief scenes with Castle ,Cherubs and Angels.
The markings at the back show the name “ Capodimonte “   , 304 ( design number ) , and word “ Italy ” .
The hole at the back has some hanging strings .
Capodimonte Ceramic s are very popular among collectors.

About Ceramic Art of “ Capodimonte  “
The original Capodimonte company was formed by King Ferdinand IV, son of King Charles, who opened a factory in Naples in 1771 and began to use the mark of the crown and “N.”
The “ N “  mark represents the N of Naples, also conveniently representing the initials of the conqueror of this region, Napoleon Bonaparte. Original Factory was shut down in 1799.
It was in the 1920's that the Capodimonte porcelain tradition of Naples was rediscovered and marketed.
There were a lot of artists of the various Italian post war studios which were selling  figurines and figural groups under the general style of Capodimonte.
Here are the list  of most famous Artists of the area : Maria Angela, Giuseppe Armani, Enzo Arzenton, Autunno Bassano, Auro Belcari, Beliori, Belliore, Luigi Giorgio Benacchio,A. Benni, Dino Bonalberti .
The "N" crown pottery mark is that of any maker who wishes to be associated with the mark of Capodimonte.
There is no trademark restriction, so the quality of figurines and art varies.
