    Description

This French Gre-Poir doll of Paris, France, is very rare.  She is a flirty, "googly" eyed sweet little charmer, a little shy. She looks similar to Lenci dolls.  She is in excellent condition except for one white dot on her lip.  It is possible that was intentional as representing a gleam, as are in her eyes.  Her dress must at one time have been so preciously spectacular--it was handmade of silk with gathers and tucks in the smocking.  I left it on her although stained and in tatters, because it tells a tale of love.  Her under pants and slip are in good condition although have darkened over the years.  Her body and face and hair are in really good shape.  Her hat is still okay, with some sign of shredding.  One of her shoes is worn on the bottom.  She is 17" tall, and dates between 1915 and 1930.
