Exceptional RARE antique RAYNAL Paris France military soldier jointed cloth doll

Here is a wonderful,
very hard to find
and very
RARE,
18" tall, (including his wonderful
French military cap
) all originally dressed,
jointed
military
SOLDIER BOY doll,
circa 1937, from the
Paris International Exposition dedicated to ART & TECHNOLOGIE in Modern Life (see article illustration photo).

Les Poupees RAYNAL of France and designed by Edouard Raynal
to compete with the
Lenci dolls of the era,
he has beautiful,
side-glancing, brown painted eyes
with high-lights and lots of details including shading, eye shadow, thick eyelashes, eyebrows, rosy cheeks and closed mouth. He has a
SWIVEL neck
and
joints
at his shoulders and hips with
shaped flat feet with wonderful, original brown leather shoes with ties and long leg wrappings, lovely jointed (rhodoid, non flammable celluloid) hands and full head of thick, short blonde hair. His detailed, tan military outfit consists of the following: long fitted, twill jacket with long sleeves, cuffs and collar, brass buttons and four pockets, wide leather belt and shoulder strap over matching, baggy trousers gathered just below his knees, wrapped leggings, wonderful brown leather shoes with hard soles and ties and terrific, silk lined, military cap with leather visor, NO.4 insignia, leather striped band & gold embroidery on red fabric and brass side fasteners. He is in very good condition, no holes, no hair trim,
clothing shows some darkening & light stains from storage & needs dry cleaning, leather straps and trim show expected wear, no damages, rips or tears no repairs, no odors as from a smoke free museum display. His Steiff teddy bear is NOT included and will be listed separately.
