    Description

A circa 1920's-30's Black Americana marionette. This charmer is in great condition and measures just over 14 inches length. He is dressed in his vintage colorful cotton with a tailed, fitted jacket. His brim of his hat matches his clothing. He has one ball at the end of his arms that house some type of beads, within...so that when dancing the balls make a light "jingle" noise. The red balls are made of a plastic or celluloid. His face appears to be made of a celluloid or light plastic, too. His torso is made of a wood block and his arms appear to be filled with sawdust. His wooden shoes are painted black. All marionette strings are strong, original and intact. Great piece of Black Americana and a wonderful addition for any collector!
