A 12" x 16" white mat with a 7 1/2" x9 1/2' color photo of Mercury 8 astronaut Wally Schirra pictured with the Mercury 8 capsule.  A 3" embroidered mission patch is displayed with a First Day cover commemorating the six orbits of Sigma 7 canceled postmark dated October 3, 1962.  The 6" x 8" cover has a fold through the center.
SIGNED on the cover in the lower center near the bottom ,"Walter W. Schirra".
A clear, lightweight plastic bag provided a protective covering.
