Brazilian Dolls, RARE Folk Art, Antique, A Pair Of Unusual Cloth Black Dolls

This auction is for a Pair of RARE Antique Handmade Brazilian Dolls. Folk Art at its finest.
Doll #1 - The smaller one.
As you can see by the pictures, these dolls have lot of character. There is an unbelievable amount of detail in both the dolls and their clothing.
The smaller doll has a little bit of jewelry, a figa good luck charm, a lace bodice with a full skirt, and... adorable little corduroy slippers embellished with a “jewel.”
There are flaws, but keep in mind this doll is probably over 100 years old. Her head needs to be tightened to her body. The fabric has aged and there are tiny holes in her skirt. However, the colors are still quite bright. And the lace in the bodice is in pretty good shape. Her silk shawl is age spotted and her cotton slip and pantaloons have browned.
She is about 15” tall.
Doll #2 The larger one
There are flaws, but keep in mind this doll, like the other one, is surely over 100 years old. The most obvious flaw is the spot on her nose. The other fabrics have also worn out here and there. There is a fairly large hole in her skirt, and it is unclear why. Along the bottom of the skirt, and some of the edges, there are tiny worn spots. And the fragile lace in the bodice is worn. It looks like she might have had earrings, but they’re mostly fallen off. There is quite a bit of the decorative jewelry left, and some of the quill fingernails are visible. The fabric of the cloth body, including the head, has faded over the years. Most of the other fabrics are quite bright.
She is 20” tall.
They were both purchased in the 1950s at an antique shop in Rio de Janeiro.
