Install 5/8" x 1/2" meter in a 3/4" x 9" setter
Extends 7.5" meter lay length to fit 9" setter lay length
To maximize revenue and meter accuracy, you should always use the smallest size meter that will handle the flow rates required of the building tenant. These adapters allow easy downsizing of meters without re-plumbing the meter setting.
For installing a 5/8" x 1/2" (7.5" lay length) into a full 3/4" meter 9" meter setting. Does not change thread diameter, only extends lay length by 1.5". TWO adapter required per setting, sold as a set of two.
Allows Downsizing an existing 9" lay length full 3/4" meter to a new 5/8" x 1/2" meter extended with this adapter.
Changes a 5/8" x 1/2" meter with 7.5" lay length to 9" lay length with 3/4" AWWA Meter Threads.
Lead-Free Brass
One end has 3/4" AWWA Male Meter Threads
One end has 1/2" AWWA Female Meter Threads (5/8" meter)
Adds 1.5" length when threaded onto meter
Extends 7.5" long meter to 9" long (Upsizing threads one size from 1/2" meter threads to 3/4" meter threads)
Includes 1 internal composite gasket
TWO Adapters Required per meter - sold as a set of 2 only.
To Use:
Remove Old Meter - 3/4" x 9"
Install New Meter - 5/8" x 1/2" meter with this adapter installed on both ends.
No change necessary to meter setter or plumbing.
