This Blackmagic Design Resolve Studio Dongle works with all versions of Resolve Studio, even versions that will be released in the future.  The dongle lets you download the Resolve Studio software on an unlimited number of computers and move between them as needed.
Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve Studio is an NLE that can be used for projects ranging from personal films to feature films and VFX. The Color page features new HDR grading tools, an AI-based magic mask for targeted grading, and a color warper. Fairlight provides a faster workflow with updated mouse and keyboard edit selection tools. Fairlight also has a next-generation audio engine and busing architecture with support for editing 2000 tracks in real time. The Cut tab offers Smart Reframe for social media among other new capabilities. The Edit page has many improvements to workflow and now allows independent proxy media that can be generated internally or externally by third-party tools. Fusion provides new features such as custom vector shapes. Also, compositions created in Fusion can now be used as an effect, title, or transition in the Cut and Edit tabs.
This is an authentic Blackmagic Design Resolve Studio Dongle, as evidenced by all of the original Blackmagic documentation, packaging, and optical discs that came with the Dongle.
The Blackmagic Design Resolve Studio Dongle is a one-time purchase.  You buy it once – and it works to activate every version of Resolve Studio that has been released in the past -- or will be released in the future.
You can install Blackmagic Design Resolve Studio on as many computers as you like, and simply activate the software by plugging the Dongle into a USB port.
One of the key advantages of the Dongle, over an Activation Key, is that it does not require you to have internet access for activations and deactivations. Although keep in mind that software updates to newer versions of Resolve Studio will require an internet connection.
The Dongle is compatible with all versions of Blackmagic Design Resolve Studio running on Mac, Windows & Linux platforms.  However, it is not intended to be used with the odd version of the software available on the Mac App Store,  A quick internet search of that Mac App Store version, including the searching the Blackmagic website Forum, will reveal that it is really not a good approach to buying and running the software.
You will always want to download Blackmagic Design Resolve Studio software directly from Blackmagic, and you can download the latest version (and previous versions) using the link below.  When you scroll down that page, the “Latest Downloads” are in the left-hand column.   Be sure to select a “Studio” version of the software if you intend to use the Studio Dongle:

Global Shipping Program we indicate the cost of shipping to the shipping center in Kentucky. The shipping center will estimate the cost from the center to the buyer--including import charges. The combined shipping cost (domestic + international) is what will be displayed to the buyer
