    Description

    Up for auction , an early  antique 23 inch oil  painted face rag doll for your consideration. She is quite folky with a funny shaped head and sweet  large brown eyes, eye brows , narrow nose with nostrils and lips. Her hair is also painted on.  Three pieces of material were sewn together to  give the shape to her head. She has wonderful folky hands with all fingers /thumbs present. She has  big feet. The doll is wearing a fabulous brown checked dress  that is lined with a blue calico. There are six buttons down the back. She is also wearing a old blouse and bloomers under dress with light wear.  She feels cotton stuffed and very huggable.She has some seam  separation where her thighs meet the trunk and a little cotton is showing on one leg.  She is wonderful rag doll with appropriate wear and great brown  dress.
