This is a beautiful 8"x 10" official NASA color photo of John Glenn.
Signed by John Glenn in black permanent sharpie. The photo has been inscribed "To Mr. VanBuskirk's Class, Best Regards" in printed typeset.
John Hershel Glenn Jr. is an American former NASA astronaut, fighter pilot with the U.S. Marine Corps, engineer and a politician. He is one of NASA's original 7 Mercury astronauts. On February 20th, 1962, his flight on Friendship 7 circled the Earth 3 times, making Glenn the first American to orbit the Earth. He was a 4 term senator from Ohio. In 1998 he went back into space at the age of 77 on one of the space shuttle missions.
This photo is in excellent condition. I have attached scans and photos of the photo.
