Here is an
original antique, (hard to find)
7 1/2 inch tall
, size, DUDE, printed cloth soft-stuffed, BROWNIE doll,
designed by Palmer Cox.
Copyrighted 1892 by Palmer Cox*
he has a full white mustache and is wearing his still brightly printed, brown trousers, red vest with gold buttons, shirt and jaunty cap with insignia and blue jacket with large buttons and brown shoes along with
all the original printed *patent information on them as shown in the attached photos. He is another hard to find member and a popular in this series of twelve as many of these charming dolls have faded over the years. He has no damages other than some wear on the back of one leg and nicely stitched repair at crotch. He has no odors as he is from a smoke free home.
He
would make an excellent addition to any vintage or antique cloth doll collection and a terrific looking member of this original series of twelve. Other dolls shown here from this original set are
not included
and each listed separately.
