    Description

This listing is for a fragment of Beta Cloth which was flown onboard Apollo 8 - humanity's first voyage beyond Earth, and the first Apollo mission to reach the Moon. This came from the collection of Mission Commander Frank Borman. Last year, Mr. Borman sold a few of his patches from the mission, and this fragment came from one of those patches.
The fragment measures approximately .25" wide. It's been attached to an 8x10" professionally printed photo, using non-yellowing, archival-grade materials. In an effort to authenticate these as much as possible, I documented every bit of the process. I took photos of the original patch, including Borman's certification. I then took photos of the edges being trimmed, along with each individual piece being cut from those strips. The winner will receive a document that includes these photos, along with photos of the original COA. I will also provide high resolution digital copies on request
. Each artifact will be numbered on the back, so you can match your specific item to the documentation.
Please refer to the photos for a closer look (you may not receive the exact number in the photos, but all of the items will be similar).
Thank you for viewing this listing!
