    Apollo 17 took the 11th and 12th people to the moon's surface in 1972. It was the first mission to include a scientist in its crew. Geologist "Jack" Schmitt was selected in 1965. Schmitt was chosen over crew member Joe Engle. His Crewmates were astronauts Ron Evans and Gene Cernan.
    The source of the surface flown film is Richard Underwood, NASA's chief technician for photo development and processing throughout the Apollo program!
