    Description

This listing is for a fragment of Beta Cloth which was flown onboard Apollo 13. This patch was just a few feet away from the oxygen tank that exploded en route to the Moon, and it traveled alongside the crew as they struggled to bring the spacecraft home safely. This came from the collection of Mission Commander Jim Lovell. Last year, Mr. Lovell sold me a patch from the mission, and this fragment came from that patch.
The fragment measures approximately .25" wide. It's been attached to an 8x10" professionally printed photo, using non-yellowing, archival-grade materials. In an effort to authenticate these as much as possible, I documented every bit of the process. I took photos of the original patch, including Lovell's certifications. I then took photos of the edges being trimmed, along with each individual piece being cut from those strips. The winner will receive a document that includes these photos, along with photos of the original COA. I will also provide high resolution digital copies on request. Each artifact will be numbered on the back, so you can match your specific item to the documentation.
Please refer to the photos for a closer look (you may not receive the exact number in the photos, but all of the items will be similar).
Thank you for viewing this listing!
