    Stainless steel 1.3mm plate
    Faithful replica of the Lunar plaque that was attached to the Lunar excursion module of the first manned mission to the moon, Apollo 11. This plaque has reproductions of the signatures of the 3 astronauts Neil. A. Armstrong, Michael Collins & Edwin E Aldrin., along with the signature of the President of the United States, Richard .M .Nixon..
    The plaque reads:

    plaque which reads:
    Apollo 11 The First Lunar landing : July 1969
    Apollo 11 launched at 9.32am EST on July 16th 1969 for the first manned mission to the moon. The flight crew consisted of Neil A Armstrong (Commander) Michael Collins (Command Module pilot) and Edwin E Aldrin (Lunar module pilot). The lunar lander EAGLE touched down at the Sea of Tranquility ( 0 37'E 23 37'E) Neil Armstrong took the first step upon the lunar surface at 10.56 EDT on 20th July, radioing to the people of earth some 385,000 kms away
    "That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind"
    Armstrong & Aldrin carried out a 2.5 hour EVA where they collected 21kg of rock and sil samples and set up 3 scientific experiments. They planted a US flag which was stiffened to 'fly' and spoke with President Nixon from the White House.
    At 1.54pm the ascent stage of the EAGLE blasted off from the surface to dock 3.5 hours later with the Command module COLUMBIA. After a total mission time of 195 hours, 18 minutes and 35 seconds, Apollo 11 splashed down in the Pacific Ocean, safely returning the three astronauts to earth.
