Apollo 11 Lab Glass 1969 Nov 6th Lunar Soil testing DeFelise.
This is THE lab glass, used by DeFelice on November 6th, 1969, in building 555 at Brookhaven National Laboratory to run testing on Lunar Soil, brought back from the Apollo 11 mission. It was gifted to me by the Chemistry Department before I retired from the lab.
I assure you, no one else on the planet has any more of this, as the remainder was destroyed during a building clean out decades ago. I've been told it's worth millions, but, since it is the only such lab glass from the Apollo 11 mission in existence, it could be priceless. I have no idea. I just know I'm not doing it justice by keeping it in a lock box under my writing desk for all this time. It's time it found a proper home with someone who will hopefully put it on display in a manner consistent with its extreme historical value.
