Description
What you are bidding on is segment of film which went down to the lunar surface on Apollo 11, man's first voyage to another world. Rolls of film always have long stretches of unused strips from from the beginning and the end of the roll, called "leaders." Richard Underwood, who headed up the processing lab for the still and movie films, kept some of those leaders. The film was from the Hasselblad lunar camera and was based on 70mm theater film stock over the standard 120/220. This allowed far more frames at a time, so the astronaut wouldn't have to worry about limiting his exposures to 32, while on the surface..
