    Description

    ANTIQUE OLD SLEEPY EYE GREY BLUE STONEWARE 4" & 6.5” SALT BOWL~ RARE!. Condition is "Used".  Native American chief bust on the front and vine-like scroll work on the back.  Has the words "Old Sleepy Eye" on the front.  Manufactured first by Weir Pottery of Monmouth and later by Western Stoneware.  These promotional pieces were originally put into containers of flour at the Old Sleepy Eye Mill.  This piece is in good condition for its age, but does have three chips around the base of the piece - please refer to the photos.  It also has a blemish on part of the pipe on the front of the piece and a blemish inside the "O" of "Old."  There are no markings that can be seen on the bottom.  Please email with any questions, thank you for looking.
