Antique WWI era GERMAN PRUSSIAN SOLDIER all Cloth Doll JOINTED Felt Straw STEIFF

Here is a very cool find.  This is a 12" tall, all cloth, straw stuffed Prussian or German soldier.  The looks to be WWI era or earlier.   This uniform look was used from the late 1800s until just after WWI.   I am pretty confident this is a Steiff doll.   I found a couple others online that were very close matches to this one.  He is missing the ear tag, buttons on the front of the uniform(5), and one pin on one of the shoulder boards.  He has the hanger for his sword, but the sword is gone too.   Even with the missing items, this is still a very rare doll and looks good.    There are a few thin spots in the wool felt, but overall he's in remarkable condition.  His legs and arms are jointed.    Please see pics for more info, and IF YOU KNOW MORE INFO ON THIS, PLEASE MESSAGE ME AS I AM VERY CURIOUS AS TO THE AGE AND POSSIBLE MAKER.
