Antique Norah Wellings Felt & Cloth Doll in Original Dress..
Lovely, Norah Wellings 7” cloth and felt doll produced in England in approximately 1925 by Victoria Toy Works.
She is all original and has a hand painted felt face, brown mohair wig and a articulated cloth body with no stains, discoloration or holes.
Her dress and bonnet are in surprising good condition with no stains or holes. Her beautiful face maintains its original paint with no chips. Her mohair wig is in very good condition as well. She has her original nylon socks which do show signs of wear. Her black velvet shoes are in excellent condition as well.
I am an estate/antique appraiser and I purchased this doll from the estate of an avid doll collector.
She was in a glass enclosed collectors cabinet away from direct sunlight and dust. That is likely why her condition is so good.
