This divine exquisitely designed and handmade large bed boudoir Girl Cloth Rag Doll is spectacular. Large 16" doll. Exquisite workmanship, beautiful vintage/antique fabrics and embellishments. (Uncertain if ribbon on her braids is as old as the doll might be a bit newer). She has gorgeous features sewn on her face, large expressive eyes, lovely large red lips beautifully sewn! She has blonde yarn braids with ribbon ties on each. Gorgeous hat two color vintage/antique fabric with trim and matching dress and handmade bloomers underneath. The dress has a small age light brown fabric spot on right side near sleeve opening and right hand has a faint thin stain/dust? both could probably be easily cleaned if desired by new owner. However, she was displayed this way for your with no problem in a curio cabinet away from sun with no pets or smoking in the home. It's a beautifully handmade folk art cloth rag doll from a former serious collector of dolls. I am currently liquidating a large three generation estate of fine antiques/vintage items and one of the former members of the estate was a doll collector for most of her life. The doll is is very good condition other than what stated above and maybe light dust. She is fabulous!  Herr body is hard stuffed cloth. She has gorgeous yellow yarn blonde long braids with tiny bow at each end (not certain if ribbons were added later than when originally made). Exquisite details for an antique/vintage 1940s doll!
This is from a liquidation of a fine three generation estate of fine antiques/vintage items. One of the former owners was a major collector of fine dolls from all over the world.She traveled all over the world in pursuit of her doll collecting! This was one of her favorites held in a curio cabinet away from sun - no pet/no smoking home! Fabulous doll for a serious collector or for someone very special to gift! Very good condition other than conditions previously noted. One of a kind, beautifully handmade! Recommend a light steaming of gorgeous outfit/petticoats, etc. when shipped to new owner as I will wrap very carefully in bubble wrap, etc. for safe journey to new home.
