    This is an antique folk art black Americana cloth stocking Or stockinette doll.  The doll is about 12” tall and her arms can be moved at the shoulders.  The doll has white embroidered eyes, red embroidered mouth and nose.  The doll has a floral print gathered skirt with a matching top.  The skirt needs some stitches at the top to attach the skirt to the top.  The doll has muslin pantaloons and half slip.  The doll has a dark red scarf wrap on her head that has some pale brown spots on the back.  This doll appears to be made from a black stocking and has a small hole by the corner of her mouth.   The clothes may need some cleaning from years of dust.   This doll was purchased from an estate with many other treasures.   This antique Folk Art Black Americana cloth stocking doll appears to be in good used antique condition, except as noted and is offered as is.
