Doll constructed of stockinette cloth; head is quite hard and sculpted; body is stuffed tightly
Crude, primitive, handmade construction; all original
Circa early 1900s-1910s, possibly earlier
No makers marks or tags
Doll measures 11" long x 3.5" wide at shoulders x 1.5" thick
Antique handmade folk art doll in good condition with comensurate signs of age and handling. Missing original hat and/or hair. Nose and chin have color nicks or rubs, as shown in pics. Doll and clothing are discolored, darkened, and soiled from age and handling. Some of the cloth is unraveling on scarf, clothing, burlap bag. Area of rust speckling on back leg below knee. Crude, handmade construction. All original. No markings. Please see pictures for best indication of condition.
