Alfred E. Neuman on a Bomb Brass Pin – Mad Magazine – Very Rare
This auction is for an amazingly rare pin with Mad’s Alfred E. Neuman sitting on a Bomb with “What Me Worry” written on the bomb.  This Dr. Strangelove motif probably dates from 1964 per the Collectibly Mad guide written by Grant Geisseman in 1995.  This pin is in excellent condition and can be worn.  This pin is not an EC Mad magazine item and was not offered for sale in any Mad Magazine.
As a Mad collector since 1968, this is the first and only “AEN on a Bomb” pin I’ve ever seen.  A major auction site other than eBay that has sold a LOT of Mad items has never offered this item to my knowledge when I searched their historical sales records.
If I was not moving to a smaller space I would not be offering this, or many of the other favorite Mad items I’ll be putting up on eBay over the next few months.
