    Description

    A pair of booties NASA Space Shuttle orbiter technician worn. The booties measure 13 1/2" in length and are made of a canvas-like material that has rubberized soles on the bottom.  The booties are worn over regular shoes to protect contamination of the Space Shuttle. These were found in a lot of technician's coveralls that were sold at auction at NASA's Ransom Road facility at Kennedy Space Center.  Authenticated by Dale Harley, retired Space Shuttle Launch Complex &  Facility Design Engineer.  A candid photo of a technician wearing a pair of booies is included.
