    Description

    This item comes from a thrift store located in Florida's Space Coast, the area where NASA's John F. Kennedy Space Center is located.
    Saturn I Launch Countdown Manual, Volume 2, SA-8, from Test Number 7-LSVI-500.  Dated May 5, 1965.  From the NASA John F. Kennedy (JFK) Space Center.  WOW!!!!!
    The manual has the name "Phlieger" written on the front cover, so this undoubtedly was used by former NASA employee, Jack Phlieger, as part of this test.  Named AS-104, the launch date was May 25, 1965.
    Conducted at Space Launch Complex 37 (now LC-37 & used for ULA Delta IV rocket launches in the present day), the objectives for this test included firing/testing the Saturn I as well as test, practice, & refinement of procedures for the ground & launch crews.  This manual, Volume 2, contains pages 123 to 233.
    The manual shows signs of wear on the outside, & the ring binding is not complete (please see the pictures).  The inner pages are in great shape.
