1960s NASA APOLLO (6) J-2 ENGINE IGNITER +NOTES/BADGE FAILURE INVESTIGATION REEL

Description

This recent find comes from Estate of Retired NASA MSFC AEROSPACE Engineer that was part of ABMA and NASA working with Wernher von Braun on the pioneering Rocket Team. Mr. Thomson was ultimately responsible for the development of the H1, J2 and F1 Rocket Engines and eventually put in charge of the Shuttle and later worked on the Shuttle's SSME starting in 1968 designing its Engines. Listing is for the following items:
J-2 Engine Augmented Spark Igniter (ASI) (Hydrogen Bellows Fatigue on Saturn Vehicle 502 Caused Two Engine Failures) PLAQUE From APOLLO 6 - Presented to Mr. Thomson and Only 2-3 were known to still exist - (From testing and flight).
Notebook 200+ pages full of Personal Handwritten Notes including meetings/notes with Wernher von Braun and 3 polaroid photos with blue ink numbers on back of each (All relating to Engine Program Plan) - This is a Very extensive almost day to day Notebook with extensive reference to meetings in Wernher von Brauns Office and most of the Heads at the time including McCool, J.R. Thompson, Mrazek, Grau, Weidner, Rees, Dr. Mueller, etc. etc. - This is a one of a kind reference discussing top to bottom Gemini, Saturn/Apollo Program Rocket Engines and All issues including POGO, Engine Igniter (ASI) issues, IBM Ring issues, Gimbal introduction and Results and on and on. Really shows inside decision making at the Executive level involving Race to Space and the scheduled Moon landing..
One NASA Produced Reel labeled on front "Failure Investigation of Apollo 6 (AS 502) March 1968 with two other details Plus back label  "J-2 ASI Line Failure Simulation Test" (with different test locations listed).  I believe this is a 8mm film and I have not played it.
